Sheikh Salim Abdullah Al Rawas - Chairman

ChairmanSheikh Salim Abdullah Al Rawas is a Chairman of the Board of Kunooz Oman Holding SAOC, he is a pillar of strength for the company’s plan to be the future prominent player and leader in the mining business in Sultanate of Oman.

He is a pioneer Businessman who resumes a number of active roles with various public and private business ventures. His unrivalled dedication is a significant factor in the success of the organizations he is part of.

During the past period he has conceptualized and promoted six joint stock companies in Oman i.e. Omani Packaging; Gulf Plastics; Salalah Flour Mills; Vegetable Oils; Oman Ceramics; A’Saffa Foods (Poultry Farm).

Currently, he is the Chairman of Al Arkan Holding Company LLC; and Deputy Chairman of Al Rawas Holding LLC; managing more than 15 companies under both these Groups with a diverse portfolio ranging from energy, commodity and general trading, real estate, investment, consulting to mining and minerals.

Adding to his legacy of contributions to the business and education community in Sultanate of Oman, he was on the Board of the Central Bank of Oman, Oman Oil Company (OQ); Capital Market Authority and Sultan Qaboos University. He was also a Shura Council member and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dhofar Cattle Feed Co. and Oman Oil Marketing Co. SAOG.

He is the recipient of Royal Commendation by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos in 1990; and also, the Oman Businessman of the Year Award 2016.

Sheikh Muammer Abdullah Al Rawas - Vice Chairman

VCSheikh Muammer Abdullah Al Rawas is the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kunooz Oman Holding SAOC and a Board Member and Managing Director of Majan Mining Company LLC. He is also on the board of newly formed SIG (Salalah International Gypsum) Company. In addition to these, he is a Board Member in Al Rawas Holding LLC as well the Abdullah Saeed Bader Al Rawas Group since its inception.

Sheikh Muammer is well versed with various private and public business ventures. He began his career with Al Rawas Holding LLC where he has contributed immensely to the development of the company.

He has more than 25 years executive experience and is a seasoned professional who has been involved in all aspects of administration, management, and implementation. Seasoned director driven to achieve results through strategic planning and professional relationship building. Success in developing beneficial alliances between leaders to effectively drive growth and achieve goals.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and is a Graduate of King’s College of Business Administration, Oxford, United Kingdom.

Mr. Humayun Kabir

HumayunHumayun Kabir is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Azzan Bin Qais Education Group, the largest international school operator in Sultanate of Oman.

He brings 30 years of experience in the financial services and consulting sectors in England, Canada, Sultanate of Oman, and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with organizations like ABN Amro Bank Canada, Royal Bank of Canada, Saudi American Bank, Ernst & Young, Inforica Inc, Canada and National Bank of Oman.

He is a Board member at Kunooz Oman Holdings and Carmeuse Majan Oman. He also serves as Chairman of Majan Mining LLC Oman, he currently chairs the Kunooz Oman Audit and Human Resources Committee and also part of  the Executive Committee.

Humayun is a Canadian national.

He is MBA in General Management from the Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario, Canada. Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Sheikh Yasser Abdullah Al Rawas

Sheikh Yasser Abdullah Al Rawas is an energetic and proficient executive who is well versed with various private and public business ventures. He has always strived and devoted his full time and energy for the success of the companies and ventures he was involved in.

He began his career with Al Rawas Holding LLC; and he has contributed immensely to the development of the company. He has more than 20 years executive experience and strong knowledge of administration and management as well as human resources, including strategic planning, leadership techniques, personnel recruitment, and compensation and benefits policies.

He is a team player and an experienced facilitator who can communicate with governments, investors, communities, and unions. His executive skills have successfully raised the company profile he is associated with.

He is a board member of Al Rawas Holding LLC, Salalah Flour Mills and Omani Packaging Co. SAOG. In addition, he is the Managing Director of Al Rasiyat Engineering M.E. LLC. Further, he is member of Audit and Human Resources Committees of Kunooz Oman Holding SAOC and Salalah Mills and is Chairman of the Audit Committee at Omani Packaging.

He has a Business Administration and Marketing Degree from the Bedfordshire University, United Kingdom.

Eng. Nasser Maqbali

Eng. Nasser Al Maqbali is the Chief Executive Officer of Minerals Development Oman SAOC. Over 28 years of experience in executive/operation/Project management, consulting and business development.

He has Over 28 years of experience in executive/operation/Project management, consulting and business development. Organizations worked with include Dams Department, PDO, Sohar Aluminum, OMRAN, Bunyan, and Minerals Development Oman (MDO).

He has a B-Tech Production Engineering (UK), BSc Civil Engineering (UK), Masters Civil Engineering (Risk management) (Australia), Real Estate Investment Certificate (USA), Executive Education at London Business School (UK).

Sheikh Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas

FaisalSheikh Faisal Abdullah Al Rawas is an active and dynamic executive who is well versed with various private and public business ventures. He began his career with Al Rawas Holding LLC; and he has contributed in many ways to the overall development and success of the company.

He is Highly analytical and forward-thinking director with 20 years of progressive experience propelling the overall growth in addition he has extreme attention to detail has helped companies of all types to maximize investments, cut spending, and increase efficiency. He has strong knowledge of governing bylaws and how to implement company procedures. Successful motivator who brings a good attitude to every meeting.

He currently holds the Board positions at Al Rawas Holding LLC and Omani Packaging Co. SAOG. In addition, he sits on the Audit and Human Resources Committees at Kunooz Oman Holding SAOC and is an Audit Committee member at Omani Packaging. Also, he is a Board Member as well as an Executive Committee Member of Salalah Flour Mills Co. SAOG.

He has a Business Decision Management degree from the Bedfordshire University in the United Kingdom.

Sheikh Ali Abdullah Al Rawas

Sheikh Ali Abdullah Al Rawas is a Highly professional and experienced board director with 20 years of experience and expertise. Extreme attention to detail has helped companies of all types maximize investments, cut spending, and increase efficiency.

Strong knowledge of governing bylaws and how to implement company procedures. A successful motivator who brings a good attitude to every meeting. Business Administration Graduate from the United Kingdom began his career with Al Rawas Holding LLC; and he has contributed enormously to the development of the Al Rawas Group.

Talal Al Harasi

Al Harasi possesses over 17 years of experience in Audit, Risk Management and Investment. He has got significant exposure in investment management and contributed to the building and enhancement of financial and governance structure of different companies.

He has also served as board member in different manufacturing and financial companies.

Al Harasi earned a Master in Business Administration with Finance Specialization from Franklin University. He is also an ACCA (Associate of Chartered Certified Accountants) and CIA (Certified Internal Auditor). He also attained a Professional Leadership Development Certificate from HEC Paris, Investment Management executive courses from London Business School, MIT and Harvard Business School.

Amira Al Lawati

Amira Al Lawati, LLB from Cardiff University, U.K. and an ongoing MBA from Boston University, USA; is a Corporate and Commercial transactional Lawyer with diverse and extensive experience in advising public and private organizations in the telecom, banking & project finance, and mining sectors.

She has acted as Legal Advisor and In-house Counsel for 12 years and currently leads the legal team at Minerals Development Oman (MDO) and is also part of the Executive Management team at MDO. Her experience specifically includes advising on regulatory matters pertaining to mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, initial public offerings, and major infrastructure projects.

Amira has more recently advised on the lately issued Royal Decree Mining Concession Agreements, which are the first Mining Concessions granted to an Omani entity in the Sultanate of Oman. Before joining MDO, she has worked as an Associate, Banking and Project Finance at Al Busaidy Mansoor Jamal & Co. (AMJ) and as a Legal Specialist with Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, Oman.
